Ice Cream Matters

Grades: K-2nd

Cool science meets sweet rewards in this interactive workshop! Students investigate the unique states of dry ice, test the bizarre behavior of non-Newtonian fluids, and uncover the chemistry behind freezing point depression. The experience ends on a delicious note as they make -and taste- their own ice cream, bringing science to life one scoop at a time.

Astronomy: A Journey Through the Stars

Grades: K-8th

Students embark on an interactive exploration of our universe, discovering planets, stars, and galaxies while learning the science behind their movement and light. Hands-on activities include creating constellations and exploring the night sky through telescope simulations. A planetarium-style show is available as an optional add-on to extend the experience and bring the cosmos to life.

*NEW StarLab Planetarium

Grades: K-8th

Step inside our newly upgraded portable planetarium and journey across the cosmos without leaving the classroom! From planets and constellations to galaxies and deep-space wonders, each show surrounds students with an immersive, 360° view of space. Often paired with our Astronomy: A Journey through the Stars workshop, this unforgettable add-on brings the universe to life in vivid detail.

Living in Space

Grades: 2nd-8th

What does it take to survive beyond Earth? Students explore the challenges astronauts face in space, from eating and sleeping to exercising in zero gravity. Through hands-on activities, they experiment with space technology, test astronaut tools, and discover what daily life is really like aboard the International Space Station.

Rocketry: Ready...Set...Launch!

Grades: 2nd-8th

Students dive into the science of rocketry, exploring the forces that make flight possible. Through hands-on design and building, they create their own rockets, test their engineering choices, and finish with an exciting launch that sends their creations soaring.

Simple Machines: Gears & Gadgets Lab

Grades: 3rd-5th grade

Students explore the mechanics behind levers, pulleys, wheels, gears, and more while discovering how these tools make work easier. Through hands-on building challenges, they design, test, and improve their own creations, putting simple machine principles into action.

Robotics & Coding

Grades: 3rd-6th grade

Enter the world where imagination meets innovation! Students design, build, and program their own robots, then put them to the test in exciting challenges and missions. Along the way, they’ll master coding skills, tackle real-world problems, and watch their creations come to life right before their eyes.

Thermal Engineering: Burn to Learn

Grades: 4th-12th

In this fiery workshop, students investigate the science of heat transfer, combustion, and energy. Through hands-on experiments, they test materials, observe heat in action, and apply engineering principles to solve real-world challenges.

Sources of Energy

Grades: 4th-8th grade

Students explore renewable and nonrenewable energy sources, from solar and wind to oil and coal, while learning how each powers our world. Hands-on experiments and interactive demonstrations help them understand energy production, storage, and conservation, inspiring ideas for a more sustainable future.
