MISSION SIMULATIONS

At a Challenger Learning Center of Alaska, students fly simulated space missions.
The Learning Centers offer students the next best thing to actual space flight with a
Mission Control room designed after NASA Johnson Space Center and an orbiting space station.
When students arrive at a Challenger Learning Center, they are first greeted by Learning Center
representatives decked out in NASA flight suits. These Flight Directors, many of them
former classroom teachers, provide an orientation briefing in which the students are
given an overview of the mission, as well as their crew assignments.

Missions - 2˝ hours long
In-House missions  $600.00*
E-Missions             $400.00*

Workshops - 2˝ hours long
In-House workshop  $275.00
Add the Star Lab to any workshop for only $100.00

*Although the cost to run a mission is over $1,000, CLCA charges the schools the above costs while the remaining is
covered with scholarship funds.
