ADVENTURES IN SPACE SUMMER CAMPS
AND
OTHER OVERNIGHT OPPORTUNITIES

During the summer, and other holiday school breaks, our Adventures in Space Camps
offer elementary and middle school students a chance to learn how astronauts live and work in space,
launch rockets, build robots and explore adventures related to the history of flight at a series
of week-long summer camps put on by the Challenger Space Center.

And fun at the Challenger Space Center isn't just for students: Whether it be a teacher wanting to
continue their education, or a company or family needing a location for a retreat,
 we can meet your needs!

A portion of your summer camp tuition cost may be covered by IDEA!

JUST ADDED! Galactic Explorers Camp! Please join us July 27-30 for this exciting co-ed non-residential camp for ages 13-16 years old! Call for more details!

SUMMER RESIDENTIAL CAMPS 2009                $500 per week        Ages 10-12 and 13-15

This week-long overnight camp begins on Monday at 9 am and ends Friday afternoon at 4 pm. Each day, campers will participate in a new hands-on activities including rocketry, flight, robotics, microgravity, light and energy, and the solar system. Using snorkels and masks, campers will learn communication and team skills
while building a project underwater at a local high school pool. After meeting PADI* requirements to
participate in the scuba dive, campers will experience neutral buoyancy and work together to complete
underwater tasks during their dive at the local high school pool. At night, they will stay in our space dorms onsite. All of these activities prepare the campers for their final mission, a space flight to rendezvous
with a comet or a mission to Mars. Food, lodging and all activities are included in the price of just $500 per week. Travel to and from the camp is the parents expense and responsibility.  Alaska Airlines is currently offering a 5% discount for registered campers flying into Anchorage.  Please see below for discount codes.
