Residential Camps 2010
Shuttle Pilots: For campers entering 8th - 10th grades
Just added! Mars Pioneers Family Camp: For Families with children 5 years and older
These week-long† overnight camps begin on Monday at 9am and end Friday at 4pm. Each day, campers will participate in a new hands-on activity including Rocketry, Aviation, Robotics, Microgravity, Light and Energy, and the Solar System. After meeting PADI* requirements to participate in a scuba dive, Shuttle Pilots will experience neutral buoyancy and work together to complete underwater tasks during their dive at the local high school pool. Payload Specialists will complete the same tasks, but using snorkels and masks. Since Payload Specialists will not be using SCUBA gear, PADI requirements do not apply. At night, they will stay in our onsite space dorms. All of these activities prepare the campers for their final mission, a space flight to Rendezvous with a Comet, Return to the Moon, or a Voyage to Mars. Food, lodging, and all activities are included in the price of the camp. For more info, including pricing, click on the name of a camp.
